WHO ARE
WE
Located in the heart of Madagascar, our school embodies a deep commitment to education and the fight against poverty. Founded in 2008, the LE CEP Association, based on Réunion Island, has dedicated itself to providing quality education accessible to all, while working towards a better future for the children of Tuléar. We firmly believe that education is one of the most effective ways to combat poverty and open the door to new opportunities for future generations.
OUR
HISTORY .
Our school was born from the passionate initiative of a group of dedicated people from Réunion, driven by the desire to make a tangible difference. Located in one of the most disadvantaged neighborhoods of Tuléar, our mission is to provide access to education for children who, without us, would have been left behind. The visible transformation in our students testifies to the profound impact of our commitment. Our school was founded in 2014 with a clear vision: to create a space where every child can learn, grow, and thrive, regardless of their economic background. Starting with three kindergarten classes, we have expanded our curriculum to include all of primary school and, more recently, middle school, thus guaranteeing continuous, high-quality education. Our journey is marked by the determination to meet growing educational needs and to act as a catalyst for social change.
Beyond education, we are committed to the fight against poverty through several avenues:
Access to Education: At CEP, we are proud to provide quality education in Tuléar, accessible to all. To achieve this, we also rely on the participation of families:
For primary school, a symbolic contribution of 1.20 euros per month is requested from parents, knowing that the CEP provides tuition, lunch, school supplies, and uniforms.
For secondary education, this contribution is slightly higher, at 1.50 euros per month, reflecting the increased needs of this age group.
These symbolic amounts allow each family to be involved in their children's educational journey.
Community Support: With the CEP and its members, we identify and implement initiatives aimed at improving living conditions, such as access to drinking water (creation of a well) and adequate sanitation facilities.
Skills Development: Our curriculum is enriched with programs aimed at developing practical skills, preparing our students for future economic opportunities.
OUR
ASSIGNMENT .
OUR
APPROACH .
We take a holistic approach to education, recognizing that the intellectual, physical, and emotional well-being of students is fundamental. Our learning environment is designed to encourage curiosity, mutual respect, and cooperation, while instilling values of solidarity and perseverance.
Educational outings are an essential component of our educational approach. They offer students the opportunity to explore the world around them, complementing their classroom learning with concrete and enriching experiences.
Our school stands out for its French-language environment, from the courses offered to our overall operations. With small class sizes, we ensure personalized attention and high-quality teaching, delivered by teachers and professors certified by CISCO (the National Education system of Madagascar). This approach guarantees not only excellent French language skills but also alignment with national educational standards.
Thanks to an education based on excellence and compassion, we have achieved a 100% pass rate in academic exams, a testament to the unwavering commitment of our students and teachers. But our greatest pride lies in the positive impact we have on the lives of our students and their families, and the recognition we have received from local authorities (Marie, the Neighborhood Chief, CISCO, and various public administrative services), thus contributing to building a stronger and more resilient community.
Every day we serve 270 meals to students and staff members, a simple yet powerful gesture that contributes to the health and well-being of our school community.
The school and the grounds on which we thrive belong to our association, LE CEP. This autonomy gives us the freedom to build a safe and stimulating learning environment, entirely dedicated to the success of our students.
We are proud of the recognition we have received from local authorities and the positive impact of our actions in the community. This recognition validates our efforts and strengthens our determination to pursue our mission.
We are determined to continue on this path , with your support. Together, let's sow the seeds of change in Tuléar.
